NALANDA DIVISIONAL HOSPITAL
The Divisional Hospital in Nalanda in the District of Matale is one place that has been assisted by Adoptie Sri Lanka Belgium even before we in the SLBA came to know them. The O.P.D. Building of this place had been constructed with assistance from Adoptie Sri Lanka Belgium in 2003. With financial donation from Adoptie Sri Lanka Belgium, we implemented several programs in this place. The water distribution system was repaired in August 2005 (Rs. 48,000) the kitchen and two bath rooms were repaired in 2007 (Rs. 225,000).
The Wards Number 1,2,3 and four and the Corridor area were repaired and floor was tiled (Rs.90,000) on several occasions. The Labor room was repaired and new equipments were provided in 2008 spending Rs. 280,000 donated by Adoptie Sri Lanka Belgium. Some medical equipments were supplied in 2009 spending Rs. 424,000 donated by two ladies Mrs. Lut and Mrs. Mice. Another set of medical equipments was handed over to this hospital in 2010 spending Rs. 88,000 donated by Adoptie Sri Lanka Belgium. Gluco meters and amber bags were supplied in October 2011 spending a sum of Rs. 38,000/= . Subsequently all remaining floor area was tiled in the year 2013 spending Rs. 300,000/= .
